ReportsIHS has customized our own computer program. The versatility of our HEAR program allows a wide variety of report formats. This enables us to tailor the report to your needs. We provide a list of all tests in an employee record and include the evaluation of prior tests as well as the current test. Our audiologist can review prior evaluations and tests for an appropriate recommendation. Listing all prior tests and evaluations also will help in your discussions with the employee. Our HEAR program generates a report for management that lists all the employees and job titles with the same tests results and recommendations. This documentation helps identify areas in which a review of conservation efforts should be made. We generate a notification to be given to those employees whose results should be given in writing within 21 days of the report.

Audiometric Testing Booth
Certified TechniciansIHS Service Technicians are CAOHC and State Certified. After completing OSHA required workshops, IHS technicians are supervised by an IHS Audiologist. Review of performance is ongoing to maintain high levels of quality. Equipment ReliabilityTest units are equipped with microprocessor audiometers. These computerized audiometers afford testing of employees without fatigue and associated problems. There is verification of frequency response and the audiometer will stop a test at any frequency if there is not a consistent response; the Service Technician will complete the testing sequence. Each audiometer is calibrated exhaustively every year and daily, a different calibration is done by the technician. There is replacement equipment on each unit to prevent delays. Monitoring
We provide records of background sound level measurements taken prior to testing and each time the test unit is moved. Decibel limits allowed in our booths are lower than those allowed in regulations. The Service Technicians are trained to monitor the testing environment throughout the testing cycle to insure OSHA compliance. |
